hi, i'm a web/graphic designer and programmer, and i've done everything from tapping phone calls to activating my sanyo on Verizon's network with vision on the 1x network... but lately i've been stuck on something, and i'm hoping someone else out there can help me ;p

basically i wrote an SMS application in Visual Basic and recently rewrote it in PHP... i have a client who wants to send mass text messages out to a mailing list for promotional purposes... the application works wonderfully, but the problem is you have to specify a carrier. it uses each company's domain extension (like 1234567890@messaging.sprintpcs.com) to send the message, almost like an email.

the problem is, if you don't know the carrier or if you're sending to multiple carriers at once! anyone have any ideas??

as far as email goes, i can check the TLD and see if it's a valid email address, etc... but for phone numbers, there is no search/check (as far as i know) where you can find out what service the number uses.
