You might see this error when trying to download a JAR file directly.

Don't download JAR files directly. Start with JAD files. Point your browser to a JAD (or GCD) file and the phone will automatically download the corresponding content file (game, ringtone, image, whatever).

The MIDlet-Jar-URL or Content-URL parameter will tell the handset where to obtain the content you are trying to download.
